Brigitte Lewis is a writer born in Gold Country, destined for speculation. Her brief short story collection, Origin Stories, won the 2020 Iron Horse Review Chapbook Contest. Her memoir-in-essays, Speculative Histories, was published by JackLeg Press in 2024.  Her essays, stories, and hybrid work have appeared in Gulf Coast Online, The Bellingham Review, Hobart, The Southampton Review, and elsewhere. She believes in rivers and dirt.
